Jim Webster was airlifted to the hospital and is being treated for a neck injury, said his brother-in-law, Fred Defrang.
Defrang said his sister, Cindy Webster, who was also asleep in the bedroom at the time, was treated for minor injuries and discharged from Olympic Medical Center.
Jim Johnson, the owner of the logging truck, said the vehicle rolled into the home at 1019 E. Ninth St. shortly after he started it at his neighboring home at about 4 a.m.
He said he was warming it up, and went back into his house, which is slightly uphill from the Websters' home.
He heard a “ka-thunk” and saw that the truck had hit the home.
He shouted into the home to see if anyone was injured and Cindy Webster asked him to phone 9-1-1.
Johnson said he thinks someone released the parking brake while he was in his home.
Port Angeles police Sgt. Tyler Penninger said it's too early to say what caused the truck to roll into the home.
