Family dinner set
PORT ANGELES -- The Salvation Army will offer a free family Christmas dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Christmas Day.
All families interested in attending must stop by the Salvation Army at 206 S. Peabody St. to pick up a ticket before the meal.
Donations of hams, scalloped potatoes, canned green beans and fruit, pies, candy and coloring books are needed.
Volunteers are needed to set up before and clean after the dinner.
Cooks and servers for the meal are also needed.

Chimacum dinner
CHIMACUM -- A free Christmas Day dinner is scheduled at the Tri-Area Community Center in Chimacum.
The dinner will be from noon to 3 p.m. Friday.
The menu includes turkey, ham, potatoes, carrots, salad, rolls, stuffing, dessert, coffee and tea.
The dinner is organized by Olympic Community Action Programs and the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Mary Star of the Sea Church.
Those who would like to have a meal delivered to their home or someone else's home may phone OlyCAP at 360-385-2571, ext. 6357, and leave a message.

Friendship dinners
PORT ANGELES -- The First United Methodist Church will offer special holiday meals during its weekly Friendship Dinner at 5:30 p.m. Christmas and New Year's Day.
Doors will open at 3 p.m. both days with food served at 5:30 p.m. at the church at 110 E. Seventh St.
The Friendship Dinners began in 1992 at the church and serve an average of 120 people each week.
