Althoughthe "Twilight" movie, based on the book of the same name set in Forks, was not filmed on the West End, the four-novel vampire series has made Forks such a destination that Zig Gauthier, a producer from Los Angeles, wants to give the small town a close-up of another kind.
Gauthier, who founded Red Varden Studios, will conduct casting calls from noon to 4 p.m. Tuesday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. Both will be at The Twilight Lounge, 81 N. Forks Ave.
People will be asked to fill out a one- to two page questionnaire and have their picture taken.
The Twilight series of novels by Stephenie Meyer of Arizona tells the fictional story of a Forks High School student, Bella Swan, who has vampire, Edward Cullen, and werewolf, Jacob Black, vying for her heart.
Top 4 choices
Gauthier has said that his production studio works on some 25 to 50 projects each year, and that the idea to hold a series in Forks is among his top four choices.
He said he is looking for people who are extroverts, TV-friendly and living permanently in Forks.
Gauthier formed Red Varden Studios after working for several Fox affiliates, the Game Show Network and the SyFy Channel.
