Jolly old elf to visit with children in Port Angeles, Sequim

In Port Angeles, he will arrive at 5 p.m. for the annual lighting of the community Christmas tree at the Conrad Dyar Memorial Fountain at First and Laurel streets. Events will begin at 3 p.m.
In Sequim, he will arrive at noon at the Bank of America Park at Washington Street and Sequim Avenue, with music beginning at 11 a.m.
The Port Angeles tree-lighting ceremony, hosted by the Port Angeles Downtown Association and sponsored by First Federal, will begin with music and hot cocoa at 3 p.m.
The Northwest Women's Chorale will offer a full concert of sacred music led by conductor Joy Lingerfelt, followed by holiday piano musical selections and the Hamilton Elementary choir singing Christmas songs and Hanukkah selections under the direction of Trent Pomeroy.
After Santa lights the tree at 5 p.m., he will visit with any child who wants to see him.
Each visitor is asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy for the Marine Corps Toys For Tots program for local children.
Cocoa, coffee and refreshments are provided courtesy of Rick's Place and Smuggler's Landing.
Procession in Sequim
Santa will arrive at the Bank of America Park, Washington Street and Sequim Avenue, at about noon after a procession down Washington Street.
He will be in a carriage pulled by the Timberland WagonEars. His route will start at the Kitsap Bank parking lot, 1320 W. Washington St., at about 11 a.m.
The Sequim Irrigation Festival royalty is expected to ride in the carriage as Santa's elves, said the Sequim-Dungneness Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The Sequim City Band will begin performing at the park at 11 a.m.
Santa will be available for photographs with children after he arrives.
The Timberland WagonEars, who are donating Santa's transportation, request that donations to the food bank be brought to the park in honor of Hermann Brothers Logging and Sunset Wire & Rope Co.
Santa will arrive in Port Townsend at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 6.
