In most of the instances reported since Monday, vehicles were left unlocked, said the Port Angeles Police Department in a prepared statement.
A garage was entered in at least one case, the statement said.
"The details of the incidents have been similar and could indicate that the same suspect or suspects are responsible for many of the incidents," the police said.
The prowler or prowlers open storage compartments and rifle through the contents, police said.
Cameras, iPods, wallets and cash have been taken.
On Monday, the reports were concentrated west of Lincoln Street between Lauridsen Boulevard and Park Avenue.
On Tuesday, most of the reports originated between Fourth and 14th streets and between Cherry and Valley streets.
The prowler or prowlers moved east of Ennis Street on Wednesday, between Third and Fifth streets.
"Be the eyes and ears for yourself and your neighbors," police said in the statement.
"Take a look out the window if you are up during the night, and report any suspicious activity in your neighborhood when it is observed."
