The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office arrested Wendy Jean Erickson, 30, on investigation of assault in connection with the stabbing of Deborah Nordberg in Port Hadlock.
Both Erickson and Nordberg suffered knife wounds during a fight at a home in the 100 block of Sentinel Road, and both were flown by helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Nordberg was discharged on Saturday, a hospital spokeswoman said.
"In the beginning, it was confusing who the aggressor was," Jefferson County Sheriff Tony Hernandez said.
"We figured out who it was, but when we contacted King County Sheriff to place her in the ward at the hospital, they found she had taken off."
Erickson left the hospital on the afternoon of May 6 before authorities could take her into custody.
Hernandez said she eventually was taken into custody on Sunday when the Thurston County Sheriff's Office placed her under arrest after she sought medical attention in Olympia.
As of Tuesday night, Erickson was listed on the Jefferson County jail roster, being held on $100,000 bail.
Hernandez said the stabbing occurred during a fight over a man living at the home.
