For those of you not in the know, Twitter is a social messaging service in which millions of people post brief text messages, or “tweets,” of up to 140 characters.
The PDN also has its own Facebook.com page — which can be easily located through a search for Peninsula Daily News.
The PDN files news alerts daily on both Twitter and Facebook — and on its 24/7 Web site, www.peninsuladailynews.com.
Joining Twitter and Facebook is easy and free.
You create a user name and password, then log onto the sites.
You can also sign up to have PDN news alert “tweets” and Facebook messages delivered to your mobile phone.
