Patricia Kenny has not been seen since Aug. 30.
She was last seen in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision, just south of Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Chris Loos, spokeswoman for the Hawaii County Police Department, said detectives are actively seeking information on Kenny's whereabouts.
"Nothing is new and right now we don't know much," Loos said.
"[Hawaiian Paradise Park] quite a large subdivision."
Loos said the subdivision of houses is approximately 25 square miles and is made up of both low- and high-income residences.
Loos said she wasn't sure who reported Kenny missing, but the reporting party did identify her as from Port Townsend.
There is no listing for Kenny in any Port Townsend phone books.
Film festival volunteer
Her name does appear in the 2007 Port Townsend Film Festival guide book under a list of festival volunteers.
Peter Simpson, the festival's director, said he remembered Kenny but hasn't been in touch with her in some time.
"She used to be a volunteer here," Simpson said.
"I haven't seen her for months and she hasn't volunteered this year."
Simpson said he didn't know anyone else who knew Kenny but would be speaking to some of the festival organizers to see if they knew more about her.
According to the Hawaiian police report, Kenny is 5 foot 5 and weighs 165 pounds.
