Deputy Auditor Karen Cartmel said she had a few inquires about the open seat on the Jefferson County Public Utility District Board, but no official filings.
Filing will continues until 5 p.m. today.
So far, seven candidates have filed declarations of candidacy with the auditor's office.
The primary election will be on Aug. 19, and the general election will be Nov. 4. Both are all-mail elections.
Phil Johnson, D-Port Townsend, county commissioner for District 1, will face challenger Dennis Shultz, a Republican from Port Townsend.
David Sullivan, D-Cape George, county commissioner for District 2, will face challenger Sandy Hershelman of Port Hadlock, who filed as an Independent.
Superior Court Judge Craddock Verser is running unopposed for the position he currently holds.
Jim Pivarnik of Port Townsend and Kenneth McMillen of Port Hadlock both seek the non-partisan District 2 commissioner seat for the Jefferson County Public Utility District.
The current commissioner, Kelly Hays, is not seeking re-election.
Filing can be done either online at the secretary of state Web site, www.secstate.wa.gov/elections/filing—for—elective—office.aspx, or at the auditor's office at the Jefferson County Courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., in Port Townsend.
