PORT ANGELES — Rena and Bill Keith of Sequim selected a new Toyota Corolla, worth $19,200, as their prize after winning the annual Great Olympic Peninsula Duck Derby.

The top prize is donated by Wilder Toyota of Port Angeles each year.

The derby earlier this month was a fundraiser for the Olympic Medical Center Foundation and other charities.



PAHS business students learn about marketing

PORT ANGELES — Port Angeles High School marketing students recently presented the 2014 Marketing Tradeshow in the school's student center and courtyard.

They represented local businesses and, while doing so, learned about each company, its history and product information.

Students were judged on their presentation materials by staff, community members, local businesses and organization representatives.

The following businesses were represented by marketing students: Angeles Beauty Supply & Salon, Athlete's Choice, Atlas Trucking, Cock-a-Doodle Doughnuts, Colonel Hudson's Famous Kitchen, Dream Cakes & Desserts, Elliot's Antique Emporium, Fairchild Floors, Frugals, Irwin Dental Center, La Belle Creperie, Michael's Seafood & Steakhouse, Noelle Johnson Photography, North By Northwest, Olympic Veterinary Clinic, Oven Spoonful, Platypus Marine, Shear Designs, SkinCare Suites Spa, Traylor's Restaurant and Wilder Auto Center.
