Northwest Indian College art to go on display in Port Angeles starting Thursday
Monica McAlister’s hummingbird is part of the Northwest Indian College show at Peninsula College’s Longhouse Art Gallery. A reception with the artists is open to the public Thursday afternoon.

The public is invited to the Longhouse for art and conversation with the artists during this event from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Among the works in the show are Mitchell's “Leezard” mirror and box, several glass and beaded pieces, and a large story pole, which the students built together.
Northwest Indian College, operated by the Lummi tribe, is located in Bellingham.
Its exhibition of student and faculty art will stay up through August in the Longhouse Gallery, on Peninsula College's main campus at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
