CLALLAM BAY — The Clallam Bay Ancestry Club will meet at the Clallam Bay Library, 16990 Highway 112, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 2 to celebrate Irish ancestry.

Participants are urged to bring Irish artifacts and wear green. This event is free and open to the public.

Ludlow welcomes newcomers

PORT LUDLOW — A Port Ludlow Neighborhood Welcome Event will be held at the Bay Club, 120 Spinnaker Place, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. this Friday.

The free event is for residents who are new to the community or those who still feel new. More than 20 organizations will be represented to describe their programs activities.

Bunco party slated

SEQUIM — A bunco fundraiser will be held at Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., from 11:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. this Friday.

The cost is a $12 donation, which will go toward uncompensated care at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

There will be a buffet luncheon, a silent auction and door prizes.

Peninsula College students inducted into honor society

PORT ANGELES — Eighty-three Peninsula College students have been inducted into the Beta Delta Nu Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, the official honor society for two-year colleges.

Special ceremonies were held recently in the Peninsula College Longhouse to honor the new inductees.

To become a member of Phi Theta Kappa, students must have completed at least 12 hours of coursework that may be applied to an associate degree and have a grade-point average of 3.7.

The students who were newly inducted into the local chapter of Beta Delta Nu are:
