PORT ANGELES — Trio Seraphin, an ensemble named for those heavenly beings who forever sing praises, will come to Maier Performance Hall for the last concert in the Maier season this Friday night.

Tickets to the 7 p.m. performance are $15, or $5 for students via www.pencol.edu/cultural-events.

And since other concerts in this series have sold out, lovers of classical music are urged to reserve in advance.

Trio Seraphin's vocalist is German-born Christina Kowalski, a spinto soprano with the clear, high notes of a lyric soprano and the added ability to reach dramatic climaxes without strain.

Kowalski formed Trio Seraphin with pianist Keith Ward and clarinetist Jennifer Nelson three years ago, and the ensemble has since devoted itself to exploring the unique repertoire for piano, clarinet and voice.

In Friday's concert, the trio will offer “Three Songs of Innocence” by Arnold Cooke, the “Lieder” by Richard Strauss, “Three Fantasy Pieces for Clarinet and Piano” by Robert Schumann, “Der Hirt auf dem Felsen” by Franz Schubert and Dominick Argento's “To Be Sung Upon the Water.”
