All lovers of community theater are invited to the 5 p.m. Dewey Awards ceremonies.
Admission is free; RSVPs are requested, however, via ReadersTheatrePlus@gmail.com so organizers know how much food and soft drinks to purchase.
Dewey plaques, named in honor of local musical director and actor Dewey Ehling, will go to best lead and supporting actor and actress, director and ensemble, all from voting that took place among Readers Theatre Plus patrons last month.
Among the nominees are:
■ Joel Yelland, John Silver and Carl Honore from 2013's production of “The Mikado.”
■ Janice Parks, Elise Ray, Kyra Humphrey and Vicki Helwick from the November 2013 musical “The Winter Wonderettes.”
■ Don White, Jeff Clinton, Jim Dries and Debbie Leach of January's “A Thousand Clowns.”
■ Jim Dries, Pat Owens, Peter Greene, Don White and Jeff Clinton of “Olive and the Bitter Herbs” in March and April.
Actors come from across the Peninsula to appear in Sequim Readers Theatre Plus shows. White is from Port Townsend, Dries is from Dungeness and Helwick from Port Angeles, for example.
