The Zumbathon will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Chimacum School Commons, 91 West Valley Road.
The requested donation is $10 to dance and $20 to watch, although people can contribute more if they wish.
It is the first of three events planned at the school that will raise funds to be sent to the East Snohomish County area.
The next two will be at 6 p.m. April 11 and 18.
Chimacum High School Principal Whitney Meissner is leading a group of Zumba instructors who are hosting the fundraisers.
The fundraiser is part of a national effort by the Zumba organization, which is holding similar events throughout the nation to benefit slide victims.
Donations through the Zumbathon can be taken at the event or at the Chimacum High School office between April 7-18.
For more information, phone Meissner at 360-316-1088.
Additionally, Union Bank has opened a special account to allow anyone who wants to contribute to do so directly at any one of its branches.
Anyone who wants to contribute at Union Bank should deposit to the Cascade Valley Hospital Healing Foundation account, while contributions are being accepted online through http://tinyurl.com/PDN-Donate.
