During the Thursday meeting, the board adopted the school calendar and the board’s meeting schedule.
The 2014-15 school year will begin Sept. 2, and end June 12, 2015.
June 15-16, 2015, are tentatively scheduled as snow make-up days.
Classes will break for winter vacation Dec. 19 and will resume Jan. 5.
Spring break is scheduled for the first full week of April, from the end of school April 3, 2015, to
April 13, 2015.
School Board members noted that spring break in 2015 will include Easter Sunday, April 5.
The Class of 2015 will graduate June 12.
The board also voted to remain on the current second and fourth Thursday School Board meeting schedule for the 2014-15 school year.
The next board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on April 10 at the Central Services Building, 216 E. Fourth St.
Board members may consider the contract for the selected new superintendent, Marc Jackson, if the contract is complete and ready for approval.
Jackson was selected by the board Thursday to replace Superintendent Jane Pryne, who will retire June 30.
