Sequim Arts Show entry deadline set for Saturday

SEQUIM — Saturday is the deadline to enter the 38th annual Sequim Arts Juried Art Show, to go on display in May at the Bell Creek Plaza, aka the QFC shopping center.

An artist also may obtain a prospectus by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to Sequim Arts, Attn: Juried Art Show, P.O. Box 1842, Sequim, WA 98382.

Entrants may submit up to five pieces to the exhibition for a nonrefundable fee of $20 for the first piece and $5 for each additional entry.

Sequim Arts members pay $15 for the first entry.

The show is open to two- and three-dimensional art, including paintings, collage, photography, digital art, sculpture, basketry, jewelry and textiles.

The juror will be Suzy Kueckelhan of Bainbridge Island, an artist whose work can be found in private and public collections throughout the United States and in Kuwait, France and Japan.

The Sequim Arts show, which will be free to the public, will be on view May 2-11 as part of the 2014 Sequim Irrigation Festival in one of the vacant storefronts on the east side of Bell Creek Plaza, 990 E. Washington St.
