PORT TOWNSEND — Port Townsend poets Kathryn Hunt, who recently toured the West with her new collection Long Way through Ruin, and Gayle Kaune, whose books include All the Birds Awake, will give a free reading at Northwind Arts Center this Thursday.

In the 7 p.m. reading, Hunt will offer poems such as “The Newborns,” recently highlighted on Garrison Keillor’s national public radio program “The Writer’s Almanac.”

Kaune, for her part, will read poems from a body of work that includes her Flume Press award-winning chapbook Concentric Circles, and Still Life in the Physical World on Blue Begonia Press.

For more about Thursday’s reading and other activities at Northwind, stop by the center at 2409 Jefferson St., visit www.NorthwindArts.org or phone 360-437-9081.
