Lowest Pair to perform at two gigs

The Lowest Pair, a duo of Palmer T. Lee and Kendl Winter, are bringing their banjos and harmonies to the Junction Roadhouse, 242701 U.S. Highway 101 just west of Port Angeles, tonight.

The cover’s $5 for the 9:30 p.m. show.

Then it’s on to Port Townsend for a gig at Sirens pub, 823 Water St., at 9 p.m. Saturday, again with a $5 cover.

Winter, a founding member of the Blackberry Bushes string band, teamed up with Lee early last year, and now The Lowest Pair is touring in support of their new album, titled “36.”

The duo is all about rootsy original and traditional songs on banjos and guitar: songs like “Oh! Susanna,” “Do You Leave the Light On?” and “Magpies at Sunset.”
