The Sumner boys beat Sequim 55-47 at Bellarmine Prep, ending the Wolves' season. Sequim was led by seniors Erik Christensen and Anthony Pinza, who scored 15 and 11 points, respectively.
The Wolves conclude the season with a 15-7 record.
In girls bracket, Sumner defeated Port Angeles 46-29 in the district semifinals at Curtis High School in University Place.
The Roughriders will now play Renton, which lost 49-38 to White River, for the district's third seed at next week's regionals Saturday at Foss High School in Tacoma at 8 p.m. The loser will enter regionals as the fourth seed.
The Port Townsend girls are playing to keep their season going Saturday, while Neah Bay's boys and girls are vying for district championships.
The Redskins will play Eatonville at 2 p.m. at Mountlake Terrace High School for the tri-district's sixth and final spot at regionals.
The top-ranked Neah Bay boys face third-ranked Tulalip Heritage at 6 p.m. at Mount Vernon Christian.
The fourth-ranked Neah Bay girls meet host Mount Vernon Christian at 7:45 p.m.
Boys Swimming and diving state preliminaries
Port Angeles' John Macias took second in the 200-yard individual medley at Friday's 2A state preliminaries. Macias, a junior, also enters Saturday's finals as the fourth seed in the 100 backstroke.
Jay Liang advanced to the finals in the 100 breaststroke after taking seventh in the prelims.
Colton Olson was the lone Roughriders diver to make it to the semifinals, where he placed 19th with a score of 158.50.
Sequim's lone state qualifier, Eric Prosser, finished his season with a 20th-place showings in the 200 individual medley and 100 backstroke.
