WEEKEND: Forks church to hold Longest Night service

FORKS — First Congregational Church of Forks will present its 20th Longest Night service at 7 p.m. Saturday.

The service will be in the sanctuary at 280 S. Spartan Ave.

A centerpiece of the annual service for those who are grieving or saddened during the holidays will be the Blue Christmas trees, which contain ornaments and mementos brought over the past 20 years by people to honor their loved ones.

Forks Mayor Bryon Monohon will lead the nondenominational service.
