Participants may submit up to four pieces; the entry fee is $5 per work and an application is available at www.LARC
GallerySequim.com and at the gallery, 425 E. Washington St.
Art entries must be dropped off this weekend: Saturday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. or Sunday between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
The 4-D Show will then be on display Oct. 31-
This is a different kind of show, said LARC spokeswoman Shirley Mercer, in that it benefits the local artists participating.
They can offer their work for sale or not; no commission will be taken on sold items.
Art will accepted based on how it fits the “daring, dastardly or diligently” theme, its professional presentation and execution of the art medium.
All visual art forms will be considered, though pornography is not allowed, Mercer noted, and the gallery reserves the right to place a warning sign over works deemed extremely daring.
Prizes will be awarded to the top entries.
First place will be by people’s choice voting, Mercer said; the prize will be three months of free art display at the LARC Gallery.
Second prize will be a gift card from Colors of Sequim, the art supply shop at 139 W. Washington St.
The gallery is accepting two- and three-dimensional works, Mercer said.
“I would like to fill the foyer and anteroom, which is approximately 600 square feet,” she added.
“I hope that the local art scene will support the event.
“I’d like to help the hard-working artists.”
