Macaulay cited personal reasons for leaving the board. He told the SARC board Feb. 6 he would be stepping down.
Macaulay was appointed to the board in 2008 and elected to a four-year term in 2009.
SARC is accepting applications for a replacement.
Whoever is appointed to the position will have to be elected by voters in November.
Applicants must live within the boundaries of the Sequim School District.
Applicants can submit resumes and letters of interest to SARC, Attn: Director Taylor McDonald, 610 N. Fifth Ave, Sequim, WA 98382, until 5 p.m. March 5.
