Jason Simons, 30, also known as Jake Simons, hasn’t been heard from since, according to a missing-person report.
He was reported missing to authorities April 8, and there have been no confirmed sighting of Simons, said Forks Officer Michael Gentry.
“According to family members, it’s not like him not to contact to his mother for this long,” Gentry said.
Simons is a dark-complected white male with brown hair, beard and eyes, and a half-inch scar in the lower center of his forehead.
He is 5 feet, 11 inches tall, and weighs about 240 pounds.
When last seen, he was wearing blue jeans, a dark brown raincoat, a baseball hat and was carrying a black backpack.
He has no medical or mental health history that might explain the disappearance, Gentry said.
Simons’ car still is at a family residence, and a search of cellphone records did not show any activity, he said.
Gentry said the situation is not typical for when an adult is reported missing.
“That’s why we put him right into the database,” he said.
Police have received several tips, including a report that he was staying with a family member in Oregon, Gentry said, but none has led to Simons’ trail.
