“It went perfectly,” said PDA Executive Director Dave Robison said after the meeting.
“It was a unanimous 7 to 1 vote.”
Robison traveled to the meeting with a delegation that included PDA board members Cindy Hill Finnie, Scott Wilson, Bill Brown, Gee Heckscher and Norm Tonina along with Port Townsend School of Woodworking director Tim Lawson.
The delegation spent the day before the meeting answering questions about the proposal from commissioners and staff, Robison said.
Now that the business plan has been approved, the parks staff will begin working with the public development authority to determine the details of the co-management agreement, such as the two organizations' respective responsibilities for maintenance of the park and as a learning center.
