'Natural' art debut set in Port Angeles

Stoddard Hayes, an artist from Portland, Ore., will unveil oil paintings layered with transparent glazes plus an unusual medium: spore prints from the fungi growing under her trees.
She'll be on hand to discuss her art, which she sees as a dialogue with nature, during the reception from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Friday.
The fine arts center's Webster House gallery is at 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
Stoddard Hayes' exhibition will stay on display there through Feb. 3 in the fine arts center's indoor space, which is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays.
Also, as always, the Webster Woods art park surrounding the center is open daily from sunrise to sunset.
