Payments can be made in person at treasurer’s offices in Clallam and Jefferson counties, online, by mail or in a drop box.
The first half was due April 30.
Payments can be dropped off at or mailed to the Clallam County Treasurer’s Office at the county courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Suite 3, Port Angeles; and at the Jefferson County Treasurer’s Office at the county courthouse at 1820 Jefferson St.,
Clallam County has only one drop-off location, Treasurer Selinda Barkhuis reminded property owners.
That location is at the Fourth Street entrance to the Clallam County Courthouse.
Locations in Sequim and Forks are no longer taking payments.
Jefferson County has several drop boxes for property taxpayers.
They are at Bank of America branches in Port Townsend and Port Hadlock, Columbia Bank in Port Ludlow, U.S. Bank in Quilcene and the drop box behind the Jefferson County Courthouse.
Jefferson County also offers automatic withdrawal, although it’s too late for this payment, said Treasurer Judi Morris.
Forms and rules on setting up an automatic withdrawal from a bank account are available on the Treasurer’s Office website, http://tinyurl.com/8ueuvaq.
Both the Clallam and Jefferson County treasurer’s offices can accept most credit and debit cards, either at the counter or online at www.clallam.net/Treasurer for Clallam County or http://tinyurl.com/8ueuvaq for Jefferson County.
A convenience fee will be charged by the credit and/or debit card provider.
Payments made or postmarked after Oct. 31 will be considered delinquent and will be subject to 1 percent monthly delinquent interest.
On Dec. 1, an additional 8 percent penalty will be charged.
For more information, phone 360-417-2344 in Clallam County or 360-385-9150 in Jefferson County.
