The closure includes the parking lot at the end of Ennis Street, said Teresa Pierce, city of Port Angeles spokeswoman, who did not give a date for reopening the trail.
No detour route is available, Pierce said.
No public entry will be allowed into the construction zone.
The closure is for work connected with the city’s Combined Sewer Overflow project.
Phase 1 of the project will increase the size of the sewer force main (primary interceptor) between downtown and the wastewater treatment plant.
The new interceptor pipes will cross Ennis Creek on a bridge.
