NEW DAM REMOVAL PHOTOS — Helicopter work at what was Lake Mills

By Peninsula Daily News staff

THERE'S A NEW series of photos — 30 in all — showing what was Lake Mills (behind what remains of Glines Canyon Dam) and moving large logs out of the lakebed by helicopter.

They were taken Tuesday (Oct.2) by cinematographer John Gussman of Sequim.

To see the photos, set up as a slide show, click on http://www.elwhafilm.com/heli/,

The last photo in the series (No. 30) is a great view of how much of Glines Canyon Dam has been cut away.

Gussman is working on a documentary film about the $325 million Elwha River restoration/dam removal project. He can be reached at 360-808-6406 or email jgussman@dcproductions.com.

You can learn more about Gussman's work on the Elwha at www.elwhafilm.com .
