Lillian C. Maupin, 93, passed safely into the arms of Jesus on July 9, 2010, in Port Angeles.
She was born on July 31, 1916, to Carl L. and Oline (Carlsen) Thorp in Port Angeles.
She married Bernard Baugh on April 13, 1936; he was killed in action in World War II on August 6, 1944.
She then married Raymond Maupin in Port Angeles on June 15, 1946. He preceded her in death on January 10, 2002.
She lived most of her life and attended schools in Port Angeles. Lillian was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Her highest priorities in life were her God, her family and her friends. She will be missed as she was loved by all who knew her.
She was a member of Lighthouse Christian Center.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Bob DuFord of Kenmore, Washington, and Fran and Speed Spencer of Port Angeles; sisters, Caroline Hibbard and Jean Hubert of Port Angeles; six grandchildren, Robert DuFord Jr. of Anchorage, Alaska, Richard DuFord (Desi) of Everett, Washington, Randy DuFord (Sharon) of Zillah, Washington, Sharyl Pennington (Jack) of Everett, Washington, Kari Osterberg (Kent) of Port Angeles and Shari Roth (Dale) of Auburn, Washington.
She was "Grandma Ray" to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as to many friends.
She is preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Hjalmar Thorp of Port Angeles, Margaret Jenkins of Bremerton, Washington, Clara Poe of Granger, Washington, Esther Kelly of Port Angeles, Ruth Maupin of Port Angeles and Carl Thorp Jr. of Port Angeles.
Visitation will be held July 23, 2010, from noon to 5 p.m. at Harper-Ridgeview Funeral Home, 105 West Fourth Street, Port Angeles.
A funeral will be held on July 24, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Lighthouse Christian Center, 304 Viewcrest Avenue, Port Angeles, with a luncheon to follow downstairs at the church. Pastors Jason Noble and Dick Rutledge will officiate.
Burial will be at Mount Angeles Memorial Park, U.S. Highway 101 at Monroe Road.
